Bebington High Sports College has continued to maintain its strong performance at KS5, results that have enabled the Sixth Form to be one of the most successful post-16 providers on the Wirral. Such impressive results support our last OFSTED inspection of September 2017 that rated the Sixth Form as 'Good' and placed the school in the top 25% of all KS5 providers nationally for outcomes according to ALPs (rating the sixth form as 'Excellent'). This year's A Level results will further bolster the Sixth Form's reputation as one of the best post-16 providers on the Wirral.
The pass rate at A Level has continued to be impressive with only one exam entry in the entire cohort not achieving a pass grade. This has enabled the clear majority of Year 13 students to be admitted to their first choice of university, with students going on to study at institutions such as Newcastle, Sheffield Hallam, The Royal Agricultural University and Brunel University, London.
The school would like to thank our students for their hard work and commitment over the last academic year.
Mr Johns - Director of 6th Form
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS A2:
Once again Bebington High School's GCSE results have improved. Last year, the result for student progress, was the most improved on The Wirral. This year, the number of students achieving grade 5+ in English and Maths combined (equivalent to grade C/B) has increased by 5%. In English, results have increased on last year's by 3% and in Maths by 6%.
Exceptional outcomes were achieved by Thuwarakash Prased, who achieved 4 grade 9s (grade 9 is equivalent to A** and reserved for the top 2% in the country). Hannah Wylde achieved a grade 8, 5 grade 7s, 2 grade 6s and a Distinction * for Health and Social Care. Beth Ironmonger's results were outstanding and both Ben Addy and Jessica Fletcher achieved grade 9 results too. Special congratulations go to these students.
