Fifteen staff from Bebington High Sports College recently took part in the 'Tough Mudder' Challenge to raise money for 'Over the Wall' which is a charity that allows young people who have difficulties with their health to grow in confidence with their family around them or by themselves. The staff at Bebington High Sports College feel it is very important to support charities that have an impact on young people and their families.
Team members worked together to get through all the array of mud, fire, ice-water, 10,000 volts of electricity, 12 foot walls and through underground mud tunnels. The 'Tough Mudder' event is a hardcore, 12 mile-long obstacle course designed by the Special Forces to test all round strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie.
The staff drew strength by focussing on the fact that they were raising money for such a worthy cause. So far they have raised over £1000 for 'Over the Wall', however 'Just Giving' or cash donations are still very welcome. Please donate at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Beb-High-Sports-College
The team stated that 'The sense of camaraderie and support from the crowd was fantastic and a great encouragement to their team".
Also last weekend another member of staff competed in the 'Great North Run' this time raising money for 'Claire House'.
We would like to congratulation all the staff on their great efforts.
